So there is a man that comes to my office everyday to pick up the Fed-EX packages. But something happen yesterday that made me happy!
The conversation was off to a good start. He was sharing with me the many benefits of working for FED- EX; let’s just say he was a proud employee of the enormous international mailing service company. As the conversation progressed, the doors were open for something deeper.
*This is an insert of the topics that came up!*
As we were speaking, the age old question arose, “If there is a God why is there so much hurt in this world?”
I answered, “God is, Mighty, Powerful and loving but there are two things that cannot be overlooked when dealing with this question; Sin and human choice. See God’s plan since the beginning was perfect, Adam and Eve were created to co-exist with God in Paradise (Cancun… move over)
Then we disobeyed, which brought sin into the big picture. The moment sin entered we were separated from Gods initial plan. He never wanted for us to be away from HIM. He really wanted to have us close, like really CLOSE. lol
Then he said, “Why would God allow that to happen?
After this question I explained the power of human choice. God gave us the POWER to Choose. Unlike angelical beings humans were granted the ability to CHOOSE. God’s purpose in creating HUMANITY was not to have us serve him like robots, but out of choice. GOD desires that people CHOOSE to LOVE & OBEY HIM. Choosing to Love instead of forcing someone to love depicts the beauty of authentic Love.
People always seem to blame things on God. No one wants to accept that it is human choice that plays a huge role in the evil we see in our world. God does not want that. He wants us with Him, following his principles of love, compassion and understanding.
That is why after we sinned and disobeyed he came to this world and died on a cross so that we could return to Him. See when Jesus died on the cross he said, “It is finished, what was finished? The devils plan, see before that sacrifice of Jesus the devil had us captive because we were guilty, Guilty of what? Condemnation, a life far from God and all other evil stuff your mind can fathom.
Before the foundation of the earth,God yearned for a true relationship with man based on freedom of choice. Man had the unique privilege to walk with God and hear his audible voice. However, because he chose to disobey, the relationship was broken. Ever since, man has tried to fill the void in his heart and recapture that lost relationship. Only God can fill that void. But until man repents and recieves Jesus as his personal savior, he will always feel a void in his heart and unfulfilled (Solo Dios hace al hombre feliz).
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned in your Blog that the FedEx guy asked you "If there is a God, why is there so much hurt in this world". The Bible says "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good" (Psalm 14:1). You also mentioned in your blog that the enemy is actively trying to destroy us. I can tell you from personal experience that one of the enemy's tactics is to try to get us to hearken to his voice through unbelievers. Adam hearkened to his wife's unbelief, and we all suffered the consequences. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 6:14 " Be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness". God can't have a relationship with an unbeliver becuse he abides in darkness and GOD is light. Therefore, we are warned by god not to be unequally yoked.
